Dennis Wait, Founder
Dennis Wait, founder of NICS-UK, brings over 35 years of practical experience in cardiology and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry’s operational, clinical, and commercial landscape. With a career spanning both frontline clinical practice and strategic healthcare innovation, Dennis has established a reputation for designing and expanding effective, patient-centred diagnostic service models that meet the changing needs of private healthcare providers.
Besides his leadership at NICS-UK, Dennis also serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at CIMAR, where he has been instrumental in the company’s rapid growth and success as a vendor-neutral, cloud-based medical imaging provider. His unique skill in connecting clinical knowledge with business strategy has made him a key driver behind several transformative healthcare initiatives.
Dennis also led the pioneering design, R&D, production, and testing of MEDSLVE, a line of cardiology-specific PPE developed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the product’s innovation and clinical relevance, Dennis recognised the critical importance of timing in healthcare. He made the difficult but principled decision not to launch MEDSLVE during the height of the pandemic, understanding that market readiness and clinical priorities must guide innovation. This experience reinforced a key belief that continues to shape his leadership: successful healthcare innovation depends not only on great ideas, but on the right timing, the right partners, and a clear understanding of real-world clinical needs.
